Friday, November 4th, 2016

On Thursday 27 October the London Irish LGBT Network held it's second AGM at Camden Town Hall. The 30 or so attendees were treated to a discussion of the ramifications of the summers BREXIT vote by David from New Europeans. Irish in Britain and the Association of Mixed Race Irish were both represented as observers. Further details of the new lottery funded project were announced, a project manager will soon be recruited.

After which the formal business took place, which included the resignations of both Co-Chairs, Ann O'Donoghue and Bernard Lynch and the election of new officers.

The new Co-Chairs elected on the night were existing committee members Cecily Maher and (former Secretary) Joseph Healy. Nigel Harris has kindly remained as the interim Treasurer but added that he would be happy to pass on the baton if anyone else would like to take up the role. Michael Bourke was elected as the new Secretary and new committee members, Marian Larragy and Ruairi McAleese join the existing members of the committee.

The new committee meets on Nov 17, there will be a further update after that and look out for exciting details about our Xmas party here on our social media.

Finally, a huge thank you to our outgoing committee members, especially the two Co-Chairs, Ann who will remain a committee member and Bernard for all their work.
